The Website Request Form: Getting Junk Removal Jobs From Your Own Site

Your website does one job for a junk removal company: it turns a person looking at your truck photos into a request you can answer. Everything else on the site, the service list, the service area, the photos of cleaned-out garages, exists to get them to that form. If the form is weak, or the submissions go somewhere nobody looks, the rest of the site doesn't matter much.

Why the Form Comes First

The big picture of how requests become booked jobs is laid out in Junk Removal Booking Software: The Complete Guide to Getting, Answering and Booking Jobs. The request form is step one, and it is worth getting right.

Plenty of homeowners don't want to call. They are at work, it's 10pm, or they just don't want to describe a pile of junk to a stranger on the phone. A form lets them tell you what they need on their own time. A phone number on the page still matters, but a form catches the people who would never have dialed it.

Where the Submissions Go

The usual small-business setup is a contact form that emails the owner. That works until the owner is on a three-day estate cleanout and stops checking email, or until the email lands in a spam folder, or until a second person starts answering leads and nobody knows who replied to what.

JunkBossPro's request form goes on your own website, and every submission lands in Form Responses inside JunkBossPro. Anyone in the office with access sees the same list. The request carries the customer's answers with it, so nobody has to dig through an email thread to find the address.

From Form Responses, you can text the customer back, build an estimate, or turn the request into a client. Converting is covered in One Click From Form Response to Client: Converting Junk Removal Leads.

Where to Put the Form

The form should be easy to find from anywhere someone might decide they want your truck:

One form in many places beats many forms that go to different places. Every lead ends up in the same Form Responses list no matter which page it came from.

Keep It Short, Ask What Matters

A junk removal request form needs enough information to send a sensible first reply and no more. Long forms lose people halfway through. JunkBossPro's form always asks for name, email and phone, and you switch on the other fields you need, like Service Address, Best Time to Reach, Property Details and Message / Details. Above the form, tell customers to put what's going and a rough guess at how much in the message box, and how hard it is to reach in Property Details.

The next guide in this series goes through which fields to switch on and what to ask customers to write. The short version: every answer you collect on the form is a question you don't have to ask in a phone call later.

Set Expectations on the Page

Because there is no instant price calculator, tell the customer what happens after they hit submit. Something like:

Only promise a reply time you can actually keep. If you are a one-truck operation, “same day” may be more honest than “within the hour.” Listing a few of your own example prices, like a single item, half load and full load, helps customers know they are in the right range before they ask.

What Happens After Submit

A request lands in Form Responses. You read it, text the customer, and either quote it or book it. If it isn't booked right away, it goes onto the Waiting List map with every other unbooked request, where you can see what is near tomorrow's route. When it fits a truck and a day, it gets assigned, routed and shows up on the crew's phone with the items and load size from the request.

At no point does someone retype the address from an email into a spreadsheet and then into a calendar. That retyping step is where most lost leads are lost.

Start With the Form

If your site has a contact form that emails a phone, the simplest improvement you can make to your booking is replacing it with a request form that lands in one shared list.
